Author and Minister Dominique Gilliard joins us on this episode to discuss his new book Rethinking Incarceration

Dominique Gilliard is an ordained minister, writer, and the director of racial righteousness and reconciliation for the Love Mercy Do Justice  initiative of the Evangelical Covenant Church. He also serves on the boards of directors for the Christian Community Development Association and Evangelicals for Justice. In 2015, he was selected as one of the ECC’s “40 Under 40” leaders to watch, and the Huffington Post named him one of the “Black Christian Leaders Changing the World.” Listen in as we chase justice together.

Civil Rights Activist and Speaker Peggy Dammond joins us on this episode to discuss the Civil Rights Movement. Peggy is a former Freedom Rider and working member of the historic Student NonViolent Coordinating Committee (better known as “SNCC”). She continued her activism by working against de facto segregated schools in Boston and protesting The Vietnam War. She is a hero and a legend, and this interview was a joy. Todd Deatherage is the executive director and co-founder of the Policy group Telos. From 2005 to 2009, he was Chief of Staff in the Secretary of State’s Office of Policy Planning at the U.S. State Department. He also spent two years as Senior Advisor in the Department’s Office of International Religious Freedom, where he specialized in religious freedom in the Middle East. Jon Huckins is a pastor and the Co-Founding Director of The Global Immersion Project.
