Matthew serves as the US Director of Church Mobilization for World Relief. In that role, he helps evangelical churches to understand the realities of refugees and immigration and to respond in ways guided by biblical values. He and our friend Jenny Yang have co-authored the book Welcoming the Stranger and Matthew is also the author of Seeking Refuge: On the Shores of the Global Refugee Crisis 

Jason Clarke is the co-founder of Seek the Peace, an organization he started with his wife Tess in the city of Dallas. It was created to meet the needs of refugees being resettled to Dallas, including researching and designing programs that would take a peace-building approach with resettled refugees. Their advocacy includes a focus on refugee peace and security policy at the local, state, national and United Nations levels.

Dominique Gilliard is an ordained minister, writer, and the director of racial righteousness and reconciliation for the Love Mercy Do Justice  initiative of the Evangelical Covenant Church. He also serves on the boards of directors for the Christian Community Development Association and Evangelicals for Justice. In 2015, he was selected as one of the ECC’s “40 Under 40” leaders to watch, and the Huffington Post named him one of the “Black Christian Leaders Changing the World.” Listen in as we chase justice together.

Civil Rights Activist and Speaker Peggy Dammond joins us on this episode to discuss the Civil Rights Movement. Peggy is a former Freedom Rider and working member of the historic Student NonViolent Coordinating Committee (better known as “SNCC”). Todd spent sixteen years in senior positions in the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. government before co-founding the Telos. From 2005 to 2009, he was Chief of Staff in the Secretary of State’s Office of Policy Planning at the U.S. State Department. He also spent two years as Senior Advisor in the Department’s Office of International Religious Freedom, where he specialized in religious freedom in the Middle East. Jon Huckins is a pastor and the Co-Founding Director of The Global Immersion Project.
